Saved by grace,
oh what Love is Thee.
My King who hung on a tree for all to see.
He was beaten and bruised,
Oh, how real the Love to lay down one’s life is quite indescribable.
I wonder about the excitement in the air
when His friends went to the tomb and discovered He wasn’t there.
And this King who poured His sacred blood out for me
revealed His heart and His face so that I could see.
Love so deep, so wide, so high
You sing to my soul a soothing heavenly lullaby.
I was wrapped in darkness and headed to the grave,
and here you came and called me by my name.
What happens when you give God a full yes? What happens when you totally surrender? What can God do with a completely yielded heart?
This year – 2019 – I am going to find out the answer to these questions. My life this year will be a living answer to what God will and can do with a vessel fully yielded to Him. I’m so desperate for His ways and I don’t want to miss out on all He wants to do by saying no to His gentle whispers. I’ve been walking with Jesus since 2013, but sometimes, I forget my life is not my own. There are moments I can be possessive over my time, my “plans“ & forget that even the very breath I take is from God. He gives and takes away. My heart’s posture this year is fully open – whatever He wants to do – He can do. With me, through me, around me.
Psalms 18:30 – God’s way is perfect. All the Lord’s promises prove true. He is a shield for all who look to Him for protection.
Luke 1:38 – Mary responded, “I am the Lord’s servant. May everything you have said about come true.” And then the angel left her.
Mark 10:27 – Jesus look at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But not with God. Everything is possible with God.”
“When God calls you to something, He is not always calling you
to succeed, He’s calling you to obey! The success of the calling is up to Him; the obedience is up to you.”
– David Wilkerson
